  • April 2009 Develo begins retail sales. The inaugural retail sale of the "Develo 10 Can" occurs at none other than the famous New York City fly shop, Urban Angler.

  • July 2009 Develo Junior Fly Fishing Festival; July 11th, 2009 Develo begins sponsoring the Jonkershoek Junior Fly Festival. The only thing more important than helping the developing world is helping develop the next generation of anglers. That is why Develo is hosting this great event at the famous Jonkershoek Nature Reserve and Fishery in the Western Cape, South Africa. 100% of the funds raised through Develo Events go to non-profits that we choose for each event. The funds raised from this event will go to the Pebbles Project, a South Africa non-profit that provides education and support to children with special needs.   • December 2009 Develo Flies and Sage partner for Fly Festival This is our third festival in 12 months and we just wanted to give an added shout out to our favorite rod company, Sage. Truly one of the best run companies in our small industry.
  • May 2010 Develo expands internationally and begins retail sales in South Africa. Develo becomes the exclusive supplier of flies to the Bell's Fly Fishing Academy in South Africa.

  • October 2010 Develo Reaches a Third Continent Develo begins sales in the UK and couldn't be more blown away by imagining all the anglers around the world using our special flies to catch them special fish.
  • March 2011 Develo Flies, Hats, Artwork and other Merch continue being bought by people three years later ;) We've defied the odds and continue to run the world's favorite fly company, 36 months later... A big, big thanks to everyone.
